
RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The late-season nor'easter Wednesday left a mess in the village.
The village received eight inches of snow, or less than half of the 24 inches that was dumped on Franklin Lakes, the National Weather Service reports.
PSE&G told one customer who lives near Valley Hospital that power would not be restored until Saturday. He is one of the more than 6,000 people in Bergen County who are without power Thursday morning.

Roads are closed and trees are down throughout the state's most populous county and municipal and county buildings remain closed.
A village 4-year-old was found wandering outside during the snowstorm looking for her parents Wednesday, police said.

The girl's parents left her at home sleeping with her teenage siblings, police said. The girl woke up and, unbeknownst to the siblings, put on her coat and boots and went out to look for her parents.
