Ho-Ho-Kus Brook Flooding: National Weather Service

Breaking: The brook is at minor flood stage. It is higher than 3 feet. The brook runs from the northwestern part of Bergen County.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The Ho-Ho-Kus Brook is flooding.

The National Weather Service is reporting the water in the brook is 3.3 feet high in Ho-Ho-Kus. Flood stage for the brook is 3 feet high.

The brook is a tributary of the Saddle River. It starts in Mahwah and runs along Franklin Lakes, Wyckoff, Ridgewood, and Glen Rock, among others.

A flash flood watch is in effect "through the afternoon," the National Weather Service said. Smaller rivers, streams, and areas with poor drainage could flood.

Rain will be heavy at times this morning and potentially this afternoon when heavy downpours could blanket North Jersey.

One to two inches of rain is forecast to fall before tapering off this afternoon.
