How Bergen's McCourty Helped The Patriots Win Super Bowl LIII
Jason McCourty, who played at St. Joseph's Regional High School with his brother, Devon, broke up a touchdown pass in Super Bowl LIII.

One of Bergen County's own made a play Sunday that will go down in the annals of Super Bowl history.
Jason McCourty, a cornerback with the New England Patriots, broke up a pass to Rams wide receiver Brandin Cooks in the end zone in the third quarter. The Patriots won the game 13-3.
Patriots head coach Bill Belichick called the play "huge," Profootballtalk.com reported.

McCourty played on the Patriots this season with his brother, Devin, a longtime Patriots captain and now three-time Super Bowl winner. Both McCourty brothers went to St. Joseph's Regional High School in Montvale and Rutgers University.
Jason McCourty was traded to the Patriots from the Cleveland Browns in March, having the dubious distinction of being on one of just two 0-16 teams in the history of the National Football League. It was the first time the brothers played on the same professional football team together.

On playing with his brother, Devin McCourty, a safety, said it was "the best feeling ever," profootballtalk.com reported. Devin McCourty was nominated for the NFL's Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award. The brothers created the McCourty Twins Tackle Sickle Cell campaign after their aunt was diagnosed with the disease.
"He's done everything right this year. He's been an inspiration to every guy," Devin McCourty said of his brother.
But the brothers' first season together could be their last. Devon McCourty has suggested he might retire from professional football after this season if the Patriots won Super Bowl LIII, according to reports.
The brothers and their mother, Phyllis Harrell appeared together on the NFL Network's post game show following Super Bowl LIII.
"I couldn’t imagine that I’d be sitting with you right here at this desk," Jason McCourty said.
