Local Officials Help Serve Thanksgiving Dinner At Bergen Shelter

Several local officials pitched in to help make a memorable holiday at a Bergen County shelter.

HACKENSACK, NJ - Volunteers were joined by several local officials on Thanksgiving to serve a special holiday lunch at the Bergen County Housing, Health and Human Services Center.

U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer, along with Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco and Hackensack Deputy Mayor David Sims pitched in to help make a memorable Thanksgiving at the local homeless shelter.

“Everyone should have some turkey on Thanksgiving,” Gottheimer said “This season is a time to be thankful for all that we have and to find ways to give back to our community and help those who may not be as fortunate, and that’s exactly what we were doing here today. Thank you to all the incredible volunteers, all the businesses who help support this cause, and to Director Julia Orlando for all the work she does for our North Jersey community.”
