New Watering Schedule Takes Effect in Glen Rock
Residents will be allowed to water their lawn based on the day of the week, not odd-even dates of the month.

The Glen Rock Borough Council passed a resolution codifying changes to Ridgewood Water's restriction policies, joining the other towns in the utility's service area.
"In an effort to provide a balanced irrigation schedule to residents of both odd- and even-numbered properties, effective immediately, water restrictions will take a new form," the borough wrote. "While scheduling will still be determined by whether one's address is odd or even, the new restrictions will limit watering to certain days of the week rather than odd or even dates on the calendar."
Stage I restrictions have been in effect since June 1.
Here's the ordinance:
Stage I (moderate):
Mandatory restriction of irrigation to Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for properties with odd-numbered addresses and Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays for properties with even-numbered addresses. Irrigation using a hand-held hose shall be allowed at any time. No irrigation shall be allowed on Mondays except for the use of a hand-held hose.
