NFL Coach Tom Coughlin's Jay Fund Hosts Family Fun Day

Super Bowl Champ Kevin Boothe joins Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation pediatric patients and their families for a day of fun

The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation, which helps families in New York and New Jersey, both financially and emotionally, when a child is tackling cancer, kicked off Valentine’s day week with a day of fun at Humdingers in Paramus, NJ. Thirty pediatric cancer patients and their families enjoyed an afternoon filled with bowling, batting cages, laser-tag, arcade games, food, and magic.

Former New York Giants offensive lineman and Super Bowl champ Kevin Boothe was on hand to join the activities and lend his support to local families. Additionally, members of the local Glen Rock High School football team came out to help and make the day extra special for patients, as did United EVENTures.

Nine-year-old Megan, who was diagnosed with cancer in July 2018, was at the Family Fun Day with her parents and brother. Megan enjoyed making sundaes and was all smiles throughout the event. Brian, Megan's dad, said, “Today was a really nice event. Megan has had a really tough time and was in the hospital at Christmas. This is the first time she has been able to be out for a party. It's so great being here with other families and not being alone. It's the perfect day!”

The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation was started by the former, two-time Super Bowl winning head coach of the New York Giants, Tom Coughlin. Coughlin started his nonprofit after Jay McGillis, a player he coached at Boston College, lost his battle with cancer. Coach Coughlin, who is currently the Executive Vice President of Football Operations for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and his foundation's commitment to families in New York and New Jersey is unwavering.
