NJ Adds Additional Bergen Breweries To "Shot And A Beer" Program
Two Bergen County breweries have been added to the program, which gives a free beer to those who receive their first COVID-19 vaccine dose.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — The number of Bergen County breweries participating in New Jersey's "Shot and a Beer" program is growing, with an additional two locations joining the program.
Alementary Brewing in Hackensack, and Bolero Snort Brewing Company in Carlstadt, were added to the program this week, joining Hackensack Brewing Company and Brix City Brewing Company.
Gov. Phil Murphy announced the campaign Monday, hoping it encourages "eligible New Jerseyans ages 21+ to get vaccinated."

So how do you qualify for the free beer? It's simple.
"Any New Jerseyan who gets their first vaccine dose in the month of May and takes their vaccination card to a participating brewery will receive a free beer," Murphy said.

About 31 percent of the total U.S. population have been fully vaccinated, according to NPR's vaccine tracker, or about 104 million people. In New Jersey, 51 percent or 4.6 million, of the state has received at least one dose, and 33 percent or 2.9 million, been fully vaccinated.
