State Fair Meadowlands Returns June 21

The Batcopter from the 1960s "Batman" show will be there, along with 150 rides and attractions, more than 50 food vendors, and free shows.

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — The State Fair Meadowlands returns June 21.

The fair will feature more than 150 ride and attractions. Attendees can go for a ride in the iconic Batcopter from the 1960s "Batman" television show.

The largest Kiddie Land in New Jersey and the family-favorite Sky Ride, which glides people from one end of the carnival to the other, will also be there.

For foodies there will be more than 50 vendors selling everything from donut burgers and fresh-squeezed lemonade to corn dogs and cotton candy.

The Extreme Illusions and Escapes Show will feature large-scale, Las Vegas-style show that features floating kids, sawing teenagers in half, and audience members dancing out of straight jackets. Hypnotist Steve Bayner will also perform his signature show.

People who like to try their luck for some cool prizes can play dozens of carnival games.

There will be several bargain nights and special events until the fair ends July 8:

  • Preview Night (June 21, 6 p.m.-midnight) Gate admission tickets are $8 and unlimited rides cost $22.
  • Family Value Day (June 22, 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.) Gate admission tickets are $10 for all ages. Parking, food, game, and ride tickets cost $2 each.
  • Kids Go Free Night (June 26) Gate admission is free for ages 12 and younger and a unlimited rides for children cost $20. Admission for kids 13 and older is $11. A combination admission and unlimited ride hand stamp ticket costs $30. Parking is free.
  • Cheap, Cheap Night (July 2) Gate admission for all ages costs $5 and parking is free. Unlimited rides for all ages cost $25.
  • Fireworks (July 3 and 4) Celebrate summer fun and patriotic pride with breathtaking fireworks displays that can be seen anywhere on the fairgrounds for just the cost of admission.
