This year, 50 lucky people will score a Lifetime Pasta Pass at Olive Garden, which grants them unlimited pasta, soup, salad and breadsticks.

NEW JERSEY – Olive Garden’s annual “Never Ending Pasta Pass” has returned, giving pasta lovers nine weeks worth of unlimited pasta, salad, soup and breadsticks.

And this year, 50 lucky people will have a chance to score the Italian chain’s very first Lifetime Pasta Pass, which gives them the chance to opt-in for a lifetime of unlimited Olive Garden meals.

Pasta Passes go on sale at 2 p.m. Thursday and will cost $100 each, plus tax. Customers who score one of the 24,000 passes available may use it from Sept. 23 to Nov. 24.

The passes do sell out quickly, however, so Olive Garden recommends visiting PastaPass.com at 1:55 p.m., eastern time, and joining an online waiting room. For the last two years, the passes have sold out in less than one second, according to the Daily Meal.

In northern New Jersey, there are Olive Garden locations in Ramsey, Paramus, Wayne and Secaucus.

Here’s how it works

  • On Thursday, log onto PastaPass.com, which is where the passes will be on sale for 30 minutes only – or until sold out.
  • The first 50 customers to complete their transactions will be offered the opportunity to opt-in for the Lifetime Pasta Pass for an additional $400, plus tax. Those who opted in for Lifetime Pasta Passes will be notified if they qualify the following day.
  • Tax and gratuity are not included. Both passes are for dine-in only and valid for the Never Ending Pasta Bowls, which start at $10.99
  • The passes can be used once per visit, but you can visit as many times as you want.

The promotion was launched six years ago and gives customers unlimited access to pastas, sauces and toppings, along with unlimited salad or soup for two months.

“Olive Garden has always been known for Italian Generosity and making everyone feel like family, which is why we introduced our Pasta Pass five years ago,” said Jennifer Arguello, executive vice president of marketing for Olive Garden, in a press release. “With the introduction of our new Lifetime Pasta Pass, we’re excited to be a part of our biggest fans’ memories around the table for years to come.”

Olive Garden estimates that the lifetime pass will be paid off, on average, by the 45th bowl of pasta.
