Ridgewood Mom Dies After Courageous Battle Against Cancer, Obituary Says
Elizabeth "B.J" Youmans, 56, embraced life like no one else.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A village mom who embraced life fought a "courageous" battle against cancer died Monday.
Elizabeth "B.J." Youmans, 56, was a lifelong resident who opened her home to everyone, her obituary stated.
"No one embraced life the way 'B.J.' did," her obituary states. "Whether it was coaching a team, watching her kids play sports, lounging in her pool, boating on the lake or putting her toes in the Wildwood sand, BJ lived every moment to the fullest."

Youmans was married to her husband Thomas for 29 years and was a mother three children Crystal, Kim and Tom.
"B.J. was meant to be a mother," the obituary states. "It was truly her calling in life she loved her children with every breath of her body and then had enough love left for countless others."

She was an advocate for New Jersey Special Olympics and the Bergen County Wildcats.
She is also survived by her seven siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m. and a service Friday at 10 a.m. at Powerhouse Church at 500 West Main St., Wyckoff.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Bergen County Wildcasts, PO Box 363 Montvale, N.J. 07645.
