James was an Army veteran of World War II.

PARAMUS, N.J. — Robert T. James, 95, of Paramus, formerly of Ridgewood, died Dec. 20.

He was born in Newport, Rhode Island. He was an alumnus of Boston University.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Before retiring, he was vice president and corporate secretary for Crompton & Knowles, New York City.

He was a member of Hobbyists Unlimited.

He was predeceased by his wife, Lynnis.

He is survived by his children, Cynthina Duell, Cheryl Healy, and Jonathan; grandchildren, Trevor, Christopher, John, Brittney, Conor, Daniel, and Kellen; and his special friend, Betty Benedict.

Visitation will be Jan. 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. at C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home, 306 East Ridgewood Ave., Ridgewood. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 400 Morris Ave. Suite 251 Denville, NJ 07834-1365. Arrangements: C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home, Ridgewood.
