This Week: PSE&G Forum on Utility Project, Talks on Gabbert's Job Status

Monday

*Teens can head over to the Glen Rock Public Library at 2 p.m. for Wii games, Risk, poker and others.

*The Glen Rock Planning Board will meet at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday

*Mack Brandon and The Connect, a gospel group, will be playing at the Kasschau Shell at 8 p.m. The concert is free.

*The Ridgewood Village Council will first meet in closed session to discuss the job status of Village Manager Ken Gabbert at 6 p.m. It will then open to the public. Expect controversy.

*The planning board will continue to cross examine Valley Hospital's planner at 7:30 p.m.

*Two Valley Hospital staff members will offer tips on how to reduce stress at the Ridgewood Public Library at 7 p.m. Go here to register.

*An abridged version of the play "Henry V" performed by The Shakespeare Theatre of NJ - The Next Stage Ensemble, will be featured at the Glen Rock Public Library at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10.

*Tutor (and Patch blogger) Tanya Lesser will tell you everything you need to know about the difference between the ACTs and the SATs and how to master them. She'll be at the Ridgewood Public Library at 5 p.m.

Wednesday

*Residents will have the opportunity to press PSE&G on a project to construct 65-foot-tall utility poles running 69,000 volts of electricity. Held at Village Hall, the meeting begins at 7 p.m.

*Lizzie Bennett returns! Pride and Prejudice fans can talk shop and compare the character's original Jane Austen designs to remakes at the Ridgewood Public Library beginning at 4 p.m. The event is open to students in grades 6-12. Register here.

*Songwriters should clear their Wednesday afternoon. The Glen Rock Public Library is hosting acclaimed musician Kathy Mosner from 4 to 6 p.m. Students can write, rehearse and record an original song with Mosner, who has five CDs to her name.

*There's a photography exhibit and open mic at the Ridgewood Library by Ridgewood's Josephine Dvorken. She'll share images of Ridgewood sites and an open mic will allow subjects who were photographed to share their experiences. The event runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

*Ridgewood Coffee Company hosts open mic starting at 6 p.m. at 90 East Ridgewood Avenue.

*The Glen Rock Zoning Board will commence at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect tons of excitement.

Thursday

*Rock and soul outfit The Group Therapy Band will perform at the Kasschau Shell at 8 p.m.

*You can create duct tape flowers (times are tough, right?) at the Ridgewood Library at 4 p.m.

*The Ridgewood Sidewalk Sale starts up at 9 a.m. Thursday and runs through Saturday.
