Unquarantined: Bergen County Continues Pride Month Celebrations

Pride Month may be winding down, but there are still a few more chances to celebrate. Events in Ramsey and Closter highlight the weekend.

MAHWAH, NJ — Pride Month may be coming to an end, but there are still some chances to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community in Bergen County.

According to the Library of Congress, Pride Month is scheduled each year in the month of June to celebrate the 1969 Stonewall Uprising. The first Pride March took place in New York City the following year, the LOC said.

Now, Pride events are popping up across the country, and in Bergen County, some communities are hosting them for the first time.
