Video Shows Armored Truck Spilling Cash On Rt. 3, Causing Delays
People got out of their vehicles and picked up the money in the middle of the highway.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — It was raining a different kind of precipitation on Route 3 Thursday morning: Money.
Money fell out of an armored truck on the eastbound side of the highway. A video posted on Twitter showed people stopping on the highway, getting out of their cars, and picking the money up.

The incident happened at about 8:30 a.m. in East Rutherford. Traffic was delayed and several lanes were blocked due to vehicles crashes and the people picking the money up, East Rutherford Police said.

Lt. William Lornec said police were trying to determine exactly how much money was lost.
