Voice Contestant Garrett Gardner to Perform at Ridgewood Fireworks Celebration

Just back from Los Angeles, "The Voice" contestant Garrett Gardner will perform at the Ridgewood 4th of July Fireworks show.

The Ringwood-based 17-year-old and his band, The Greater Good, will perform songs heard by millions on the hit NBC show.

Gardner, who was on Team Shakira and made it to the round of 12, has strong ties to the village. His uncle, Mike Janke, is a member of the Ridgewood Fourth of July Committee. His paternal grandmother, Althea Janke Gardner, was raised in town and is a graduate of Ridgewood High School. 

Gardner will take to the stage at 8:15 p.m. and perform for 30 minutes.

Gates open for Bergen's best fireworks show – held at Veterans Field – at 6 p.m., and close at 9 p.m. There is an entrance fee.
