The mega-site was forced to close earlier this week after a vaccine supply shortage, Gov. Phil Murphy said Tuesday.
Officials resumed operations Wednesday, however, after they received "thousands" of doses in a Tuesday shipment. Hackensack Meridian Health officials told Patch that more than 700 appointments were scheduled for Wednesday, with thousands already set through the end of February.

Operations at The Meadowlands site have gone smoother than others around the state, as no appointments had to be rescheduled due to the closure, officials said.
Vaccination efforts began on Thursday and Friday of last week at the site, with doses administered in the hundreds. Officials expect the site can eventually reach 2,400 inoculations per day.
