YouTube Star Emma Chamberlain To Preview New Book With Bookends
The iconic Ridgewood book store will host Chamberlain and her father as they teach a virtual art class with prompts from her new book.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A stop at Bookends in Ridgewood is a marker of a certain level of acclaim in the book publishing world.
Recently, these author events have been moved out of the store and onto the internet amid the coronavirus pandemic. This should be no problem for Emma Chamberlain, whose new book "The Ideal Planner" is out Aug. 18, as she is no stranger to engaging with her fans online.
Bookends will host an art class with the YouTube star, and her father and artist, Michael Chamberlain, on Aug. 19 via Zoom.

Chamberlain and her father will create art in real time using prompts from "The Ideal Planner," while also walking attendees through the drawing process. As is standard, Chamberlain will also discuss the book, family and answer a limited number of submitted questions.
The event is scheduled for 6 p.m., and tickets can be purchased here: https://bookends-online2.squar...

Bookends refers to Chamberlain as an "internet phenomenon," and they aren't wrong. Her YouTube account has legions of fans — over 9 million — and she has nearly 10 million followers on Instagram.
She is a part of a cohort of vloggers who have taken to the platform, built a following and gained sizeable influence in internet circles and beyond.
Time Magazine included Chamberlain on its 25 Most Influential People on the Internet list, as well as the Time Magazine 100 Next List.
Though her vlogs are known for a standard of controlled — or sometimes not-so-controlled — chaos, Chamberlain recently told Nylon that her real life is tediously planned, and her book reflects that in a non-traditional way.
“I was like, ‘Let's do a little spin on this. Let's make it fun.’ So there's fun little activities in it that are relaxing, and can help with anxiety, because I think planning could be anxiety-inducing," she told Nylon of the planner.
In addition to her prolific YouTube channel, Chamberlain also publishes a podcast, and started a coffee company in 2019.
