Got Game? Get it at Bergen Catholic Summer Sports Camps

Okay. So, you woke up this morning and realized that this week is the last week of school and you forgot to sign the kids up for camp. Well, maybe you didn't actually forget, it's just that you feel like you've just finished icing the cupcakes for the 100 day class party and June somehow snuck up on you.

Don't panic. There is still time to sign them up for sports camps offered by Bergen Catholic High School. Have a little Catfish Hunter? A Michael Jordan? Perhaps an Eli Manning or...honestly, I'm lost on lacrosse greats--although I've seen some really outstanding high school and college games. 

Bergen Catholic is offering week-long camps in baseball, basketball, football and lacrosse in July. Here is the schedule: 

• Baseball (July 22nd-25th) ages 8-15 held at Waldwick Borough Park (9 a.m. - 2 p.m.)
• Basketball (July 8-12, 15-19, 22-26) ages 8-15 held at Bergen Catholic (9:15 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
• Football (July 15-19, 22-26) ages 8-14 held at Bergen Catholic (9 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
• Lacrosse (July 1-5, 8-12) ages 8-14 held at Bergen Catholic (9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)

11-year old Jack O'Brien, who has attended BC's Summer Basketball Camp, said that he learned the fundamentals of the game from the coaches at the camp.

"What was really neat was the sports bonds I made with the other campers from different towns," O'Brien said. "It was fun when our schools played each other during the season because we knew each other from camp."
