River Dell Girls Take Gold at Nationals Track Meet

The River Dell Girls track Sprint Medley Team of Emily Croonquist, Marina Reilly, Paige Fernadez and Noreen Byrne took home the gold medal at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor Track meet in Greensboro, North Carolina, winning the Emerging Elite Championship. 

The girls 4x400 relay team won the bronze medal on Sunday. Other participants included Payton Wagmeister (Javelin), Brandon Jurasin (High Jump) and Will Daly (Freshman 2 mile) and Colin Daly (Freshman 1 mile).

River Edge Council Approves Al Fresco Dining

Get ready to dine outside. The Mayor and Council of River Edge approved an ordinance Monday permitting restaurants to offer outdoor dining during warm weather months.

The ordinance, introduced by Councilwoman Kathleen Murphy, permits restaurants to set up tables outside from April 15 through Nov. 30.

Theatre Bugs Back to Take Center Stage This Summer

All the World's A Stage and Theatre Bugs summer theatre program is returning to River Edge for its fifth consecutive summer. All The World's A Stage is a program for older campers ages 7 to 15 and runs for the entire month of July offering classes in acting, dance, music and all theater disciplines, while at the same time rehearsing and working on a final musical performance. Theatre Bugs is an afternoon program for children ages 4 to 7 and runs for two weeks from July 8 to July 19 focusing on theater basics and stage crafts.
