Flood Watch for Bergen County Cancelled

The track of the storm has shifted north with the heaviest rain falling north and south of Bergen County, leaving our local area with less rain than previously forecasted, Chief Frank Papapietro said. 

Because the weight of the storm has shifted away from our area, the National Weather Service is cancelling the flood watch for the entire local area with this afternoon’s forecast update, Bergen County Office of Emergency Management reported.

According to the National Weather Service, the developing line of heavy showers and thunderstorms will move east across the region Thursday evening. A few storms could produce heavy rain and strong gusty winds – remaining below severe limits.
