Lubben went to River Dell Regional High School and owned Golden Meat and Provisions.
Lubben was well-known in town. He was a "jokester," and would pull pranks on people when he delivered them meat, NorthJersey.com reported.
"He was the funniest guy I ever met in my life," Christine Nunn said in the NorthJersey.com report. "He was such a prankster. I'd be in the kitchen in a crappy mood and he'd do something ridiculous."
Lubben is survived by his son, Brett, daughters Alyssa and Amanda, ex-wife Stephanie Lubben, and girlfriend, Jennifer Collins.
