Oradell Borough Hall Closed Due To Mold

Breaking: Temporary satellite offices are being opened for the various municipal departments.

ORADELL, NJ — Borough hall is closed after mold was discovered there.

Experts are there today inspecting the building. Until results are analyzed, borough hall will remain closed, said Laura Lyons, borough administrator.

The Police Department is open because no evidence of mold was found there, Lyons said.

Officials are working on setting up borough services in temporary, alternative locations, including the building, finance, recreation, and health departments, along with the clerk's and administrator's offices.

Lyons said it would be announced when those satellite offices are set up.

"We are working as swiftly as possible to address the situation and appreciate everyone's understanding and patience," Lyons said.
