Oradell Native Makes Sergeant in Hometown Police Force

Officer Victor Egg was elevated to the rank of sergeant on Wednesday night

When not volunteering as the assistant River Dell swim coach to his alma mater, Oradell native Victor Egg can also be seen dedicating himself to his hometown as one of the borough's finest in blue.

Egg, who has served with the Oradell Police Department since 1998, was promoted to the rank of sergeant this week. The process was only able to take place following the borough's adoption of its promotional procedure in January for the department.

The 1989 River Dell graduate earned his bachelor's degree from Rowan University and a master's degree from Seton Hall University. With the Oradell Police, he is one of the training officers in the department, has served on the bike patrol and accident reconstrcution and Bergen County Rapid Deployment Force.
