Oradell's Roger Tashjian Sworn In To New Council Term

ORADELL, NJ — Borough Councilman Roger Tashjian was sworn in to a new, three-year term on Sunday.
Tashijan is a lifelong borough resident and was a member of the Board of Education. He also coaches recreation baseball and basketball teams.
Rep. Josh Gottheimer, a Democrat representing New Jersey's 5th Congressional District, swore Tashijan into the position.

"As a councilman, he has worked with the Department of Public Works and the departments in neighboring towns on shared service agreements to try to cut costs and share ideas," Gottheimer said. "He has demonstrated he understands the importance of to solving problems in local government to keep our streets paved, clean water running, and our communities safe and I am excited to work with Roger and the Council over the next term."
