Orlando to be Honored at 15th Annual Courage Awards Gala
Julia Orlando of Oradell will be recognized for her work as Director of the Bergen County Housing, Health, and Human Services Center in May

Previously named to the state Interagency Council on Homelessness by Gov. Chris Christie, Oradell resident Julia Orlando will next be honored by the CarePlus Foundation for her exemplary courage and dedication in support of the mental health community at their annual Courage Awards Gala on May 29, at the Venetian in Garfield.
Orlando is the current Director of the Bergen County Housing, Health and Human Services Center where she manages the nutrition program, shelter beds and daily drop-in programs.
"Mental illness touches one out of every four individuals in our community," said Frank Coppola, chairperson of the Foundation. "The Courage Awards recognizes those working tirelessly to eliminate the stigma of mental illness and meet the needs of those who are struggling. The event gives us an opportunity to honor those whose efforts often go unnoticed.”
