Potential Property Rebate Program Tied to Shopping Locally
Spend more at local shops along Kinderkamack Road in Oradell in the future, and borough residents may receive up to $1,000 off their end of year tax bill. On Tuesday night, borough officials met with Carmine DeFalco who instituted a Property Tax Reward Program in his hometown of Marlboro.
River Edge Cops to Ride in Annual PD Unity TourAfter riding over 300 miles last year in honor of fallen police officers, River Edge Police Sgt. Bob Daly and Officer Marc Abate are again preparing to take part in the Police Unity Tour and raise awareness of Line of Duty deaths.

The decision to cover any sidewalk repairs and replamcent costs in River Edge as part of a shared service agreement with neighboring New Milford took one step closer to becoming a reality as the borough introduced a $10,000 funding ordinance last week.Â
The ordinance stil awaits final approval in late March before any construction would could begin and allows for the possiblity to cover a portion of recurbing some of the most damaged sidewalks.
Through its 2013 Open Space funding allocations, River Edge will now be able to move forward with purchasing a lightning detection system while setting money aside for the future lighting replacement program at the Kenneth B. George fields.
