River Edge Council Amends, Adopts Revised Borough Bylaws
One bylaw change would give concerned citizens the chance to speak their minds before Borough Council prior to a vote on a resolution.

Noting that they remain a work in progress, the River Edge Borough Council amended the municipality's bylaws and put them into effect at its January 1 sine die and reorganization meeting, Town News reported. This is the first time the bylaws have been revised since they were created in 1927.
One of the revisions would take the power of appointing council liaisons from the mayor. A number of council members said they did not approve of this provision, but supported the changes with an understanding that the subject of nominating liaisons and other improvements will be considered again in the future.
