Victim Possibly Trapped After NJ Train Reportedly Strikes Car
A train has struck a car, and emergency personnel are working to free people from the crash scene, reports say.

BERGEN COUNTY – A train struck a car on Thursday morning, and emergency personnel were working to free people from the crash scene, reports say.
A father and a son were seriously injured in the crash, The Record reported. They suffered non-life threatening injuries and were trapped in a car, according to the report.
A NJ Transit train struck a car near New Bridge Landing in River Edge, according to The Record, suspending Pascack Valley Line service in both directions.

The train struck the vehicle at about 7:30 a.m., according to the report. It is unknown if there are any injuries.
As of 9:30 a.m., service remains suspended in both directions between Spring Valley and New Bridge Landing, according to NJ Transit. Rail shuttle service will operate between Anderson Street in Hackensack and Secaucus, where transfers are available for service to Hoboken and Penn Station. Additionally, rail tickets and passes are being cross honored by NJ Transit buses and private bus carriers.
