1 Dead, 1 Critically Injured In Plainfield Sunday Shooting
Police are investigating a shooting that killed a Dunellen man and critically injured a Piscataway man on Sunday.
PLAINFIELD, NJ — A Dunellen man is dead and a Piscataway man is critically injured following a shooting in Plainfield on Sunday afternoon.
The dead man has been identified as 29-year-old Michael Price Jr., said acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo and Plainfield Police Director Lisa Burgess.
Plainfield Police found Price and a 30-year-old man from Piscataway, in the area of West Eighth Street and Grant Avenue in Plainfield, both having been struck by gunfire, according to the preliminary investigation.

Price was taken to JFK University Medical Center in Edison, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 6 p.m., while the Piscataway man was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he remained early Monday in critical but stable condition.
The investigation into the shooting is being led by the Union County Homicide Task Force and assisted by members of the Plainfield Police Department, Union County Police Department Ballistics Unit, and Union County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit.
