2 Candidates To Run For Fanwood Borough Council

Democratic incumbents Erin McElroy Barker and Patricia Walsh are running unopposed in the upcoming primary election.

FANWOOD, NJ — Monday was the deadline to file for the upcoming primary election in June and two candidates have announced their intention to run for the two, three-year Fanwood Broough Council seats.

Democratic incumbents Erin McElroy Barker and Patricia Walsh are running unopposed in the upcoming primary election in June.

Barker is running for her third term on the council. She serves as the chair of the Council's Administration and Finance Committee and is the Council liaison to the Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation Committee.

Walsh is currently serving as Councilwoman and is chair of the council Public Safety Committee and as such, Fanwood's Police Commissioner. She has served on the Historic Preservation Commission and been involved in many Recreation Commission events.
