Aggravated Assault Reported At Scotch Plains 7-Eleven

A Park Avenue business owner also reported the theft of patio furniture from the front of the business, according to the police blotter.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A disturbance at the Scotch Plains 7-Eleven store led to arrests, police said.

On April 2, Elmer Zuniga, 19, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest during a disturbance at the 7-Eleven store at 302 Park Ave., said police.

Zuniga was taken to headquarters and processed.

On March 31: Frackinde Germain, 28, of East Orange was arrested on an active warrant out of
Clark during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Officer Tricia DiLollo. Germain was taken to headquarters and processed.

On April 2: A resident in the 1500 block of Rahway Road reported damage to their mailbox.

On April 3: A resident on William Street reported fraudulent activity regarding a crypto account. The victim stated a virus was installed in his computer that depleted currency from the account.

On April 3: A business owner on Park Avenue reported the theft of patio furniture from the front of the business.

On April 4: Officers responded to the Power Gas Station at 2650 Route 22 on a report of a burglary. The attendant arrived for work and found the front glass window smashed with items removed from the business.
