Armed Man Wearing Ski Mask Robs Scotch Plains Gas Station
A man dressed in all black wearing an orange ski mask entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money, said police.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — An man wearing a ski armed with a gun mask reportedly robbed a Scotch Plains gas station, according to the Scotch Plains Police blotter.
On June 3 at around 8 p.m., the management of the Exxon gas station at 1800 Route 22 said a man dressed in all black wearing an orange ski mask entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money, said police.
The man ran away on foot with cash as well as a cash register drawer, said police.

Union County Sheriff's K9 was able to track the man for several blocks but lost the scent. Police checked the surrounding area but were not able to find the man, said police.
No injuries were reported. This robbery is under active investigation.

On June 7: Kevin Kennedy, 31, of Scotch Plains, was arrested for driving under the influence during a motor vehicle accident investigation conducted by Patrolman Andrew Gitto. Kennedy was taken to headquarters and processed.
