Local residents are already sending in snow snapshots. Help us build our ongoing photo gallery of the season's biggest storm

The only thing that will accumulate more than the snow this week are the photos.

Photo 3: Jean DeJesso of the Double Dipper Cafe in Fanwood cleans the walk outside the Martine Avenue shop late Monday afternoon. The early snowfall was light and fluffy and easy to shovel. Submitted by Brian Horton

Photo 4: Steven Oster of Scotch Plains cleans his car after arriving at the train station from New York. Oster said the train was crowded as many businesses closed early because of the approaching storm. New Jersey Transit announced earlier it is suspending operations this evening and trains may no run again until Thursday morning. Submitted by Brian Horton

Photo 5: Fanwood DPW Director Clint Dicksen, third from right, discussed storm assignments with some of the members of the DPW crew at their garage on North Avenue Monday afternoon. The DPW will have nine pieces of equipment in action keeping the streets and parking areas clear once the snow begins to build up. Dicksen said if storm predictions are correct, it will be one of the department’s biggest winter assignments ever and could take into Wednesday morning to wrap up the cleanup.
