Darby Road St. Patrick's Day Festival Canceled In Scotch Plains
The Scotch Plains restaurant canceled the 3-day festival due to new coronavirus concerns.
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — The Darby Road St. Patrick's Day festival set for Friday through Sunday has been canceled "out of an abundance of caution" following concerns of the new corona virus.
"In light of the current atmosphere, the safety and the well-being of our family and friends is of the utmost importance to us. The decision comes in conjunction with Township officials, health organizations and from a place of true concern for the well-being of our loyal customers, staff and larger community," Darby Road in Scotch Plains stated. " 'Better to be safe than sorry,' has never rung more true in this instance, but should not be misinterpreted as panic or hysteria in any way. We are taking all precautions necessary to ensure the safety of our customers and staff as we continue with regular hours of operation. It is with heavy hearts that we cannot provide our annual festival and hope to see you in the near future."
