In 1962, with a second child on the way, he moved his growing family to Scotch Plains and began his practice. The Greens raised their family and remained there for 35 years. In retirement, they lived briefly in Holmdel, before relocating to San Jose, California to join the rest of their family already living out west.
In addition to being a published scientist, a pioneer of fertility treatment and non-surgical hysterectomy, and an advocate for women’s health rights, he was also an avid golfer, hockey fan, traveler, and duplicate bridge player. He was a devoted husband, beloved father, and adored PopPop. He is survived by his wife Roma, daughters Lisa and Sara, son-in-law Ralph Schmitt, and granddaughters Amanda and Alexandra.
