Fanwood Opens Cooling Center To Beat Heat
The Chelsea Senior Living Center at 295 South Ave. in Fanwood will be used as a cooling center.
FANWOOD, NJ — It's going to be another hot one on Tuesday with temperatures rising to 94 degrees. To help beat the heat, the Chelsea Senior Living Center at 295 South Ave. in Fanwood will be used as a cooling center.
For transportation to the cooling center call the Fanwood Police Department at 908-322-5000 to make arrangements.
An air quality alert and heat advisory have been issued for Union County by the National Weather Service.

Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 3 p.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. Southwest wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Wednesday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 9 p.m., then a chance of showers. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70.
