Fanwood Opens Cooling Center Due To Excessive Heat
The heat index is forecast to be between 95 and 104 degrees, the National Weather Service is forecasting.

FANWOOD, NJ — Due to the excessive heat forecast for this week, Fanwood has opened a cooling center at the Chelsea Senior Living Center.
The center is located at 295 South Ave. and will remain open until Wednesday.
If anyone needs transportation to the cooling station they can call the Fanwood Police Department at 908-322-5000 and they will make arrangements.

A heat advisory remains in effect for Union County from 11 a.m. Tuesday to 9 p.m. Wednesday. The heat index is forecast to be between 95 and 104 degrees, the National Weather Service is forecasting.
