How Close Are Scotch Plains, Fanwood To 70% Of Adults Vaccinated?
As NJ approaches its deadline for getting 70 percent of adults vaccinated, here's where Scotch Plains and Fanwood compare in Union County.

UNION COUNTY, NJ — Seventy percent is the magic number. It's the number of adults New Jersey wants fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by July 1, the amount President Joe Biden wants partially inoculated by July 4 and a figure Union County has not quite reached in its adult population.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, 58.4 percent of the county's adult residents are fully vaccinated, and 70.6 percent have received at least one dose.
While Union County as a whole is coming up short, so are Scotch Plains and Fanwood. Scotch Plains shows 68 percent of adult residents are fully vaccinated, and 62 percent have received at least one dose. Fanwood shows 70 percent of adult residents are fully vaccinated, and 64 percent have received at least one dose.
