Phoebe Is Scotch Plains-Fanwood's Pet Of The Week

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Meet Phoebe! She has been chosen as Scotch Plains-Fanwood Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"I'd like to nominate my Grandpup, Phoebe, as the pet of the week. She lives in Scotch Plains. Phoebe is a rescue dog who came all the way from Tennessee from Goofy Foot Rescue. Our daughter, Bridget was given Phoebe for Christmas.

She has been nothing but a loving, sweet companion for our entire family. She has provided us with much-needed comfort and joy during these uncertain times. She always seems to know whenever someone in the family needs a lift and provides it with what we're certain is a smile.

Phoebe loves being outside and playing with her 'cousins' Jax, Jovie and Moody, a black Lab and two cats. She's a true blessing to our family. When we first saw her we thought she looked like the Flying Nun. Phoebe is 4 months old."

Do you think your pet should be Scotch Plains-Fanwood's Pet of the Week?

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com with the subject line "Scotch Plains-Fanwood Pet Of The Week." Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, the town you're from, and your name.

Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today. All photos must be the property of the submitter. By submitting a photo to Patch the submitter agrees to give permission for it to be published on Patch.

Additionally, the chosen Pet of the Week will receive 20 percent off any single item in Dukes's Pet Den in Scotch Plains. And winners can also bring their pet into the store, located at 417 Park Ave., in Scotch Plains for a picture. Duke's will put them up on their Facebook page as well.ore for a picture. Woof Gang Bakery will put them up on their social media page as well.
