Plainfield Public Schools Opens Early Kindergarten Registration

Early online Kindergarten Registration for the 2021-2022 School Year is now open through February 28th. The District has created a special location on its website for easy access to parents who are registering their children for September.

To register online please visit the district website at www.plainfieldnjk12.org and click on the special icon as seen here The icon will take parents directly to the Genesis Parent Portal to begin the registration.

All Plainfield children born on or before October 1, 2016 are eligible for enrollment. Parents are urged to register the children early to avoid missing out on the school of their choice. Mark A. Williams, Assistant Superintendent of Schools said, “Parents should register their children in a timely manner due to limited space in some schools.”

The Plainfield Public School District offers high quality, all-day kindergarten at nine elementary schools that include: Dewitt D. Barlow School, Cedarbrook K-8 Center, Clinton School, Frederic W. Cook School, Emerson Community School, Evergreen School, Jefferson School, Charles H. Stillman School and Washington Community School.

The District welcomes all children in current Pre-K, private and parochial schools, or charter schools to apply. To register and for a list of the requirements, please visit the District’s website at www.plainfieldnjk12.org and look for the icon 2021-2022 Kindergarten Student Registration.
