For the first time in seven months, the number of COVID-19 cases in Scotch Plains has declined, according to new data.
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ – For the first time in seven months, the number of COVID-19 cases in Scotch Plains has declined, according to new data.
According to newly released data from the Rahway Regional Health Department, there were 1,329 positive COVID-19 test results in Scotch Plains as of Tuesday morning.
To date, there have been 22 COVID-19 related deaths in Scotch Plains.

Across Union County, there were 181 new coronavirus cases and 1,571 coronavirus-related deaths as of Tuesday morning.
To date, there have been 49,373 coronavirus cases countywide.
