SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ — The polls are closed and the unofficial votes for both uncontested Scotch Plains and Fanwood Council races in the Primary Election are in.

There were two candidates, one Republican and one Democrat, vying for the one Scotch Plains Township council seat.

Here are the real-time unofficial results for Scotch Plains Township Council, according to Union County (* mark incumbents):

  • Matthew Adams* - Democrat - 1,111
  • Deanna Dell-Bene - Republican - 715

There were two Democrats vying for the two Fanwood Borough council seats.

  • Erin McElroy-Barker - Democrat - 392
  • Patricia Walsh - Democrat - 394
