Scotch Plains-Fanwood Residents Sound Off on Snow Plowing

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - Winter Storm Jonas brought between two to three feet of snow to New Jersey causing approximately 90,000 power outages and coastal flooding in the southern part of the state.

As of Monday, the State of Emergency has been lifted, power has been restored to most of NJ and bridges and tunnels to New York City have been reopened.

Still, hundreds of New Jersey school districts announced closures and motorists are warned to continue driving with extra caution.

We asked Patch readers if they were happy with the plowing done on their block. Here’s what you said:

• “As a matter of fact, yes I’m very happy with the plowing. The DPW trucks just cleared my street and now my neighbors and I can get out of our driveways as well as get out of our street!”

• “Ours hasn’t been plowed once since the storm started.”

• “I’ve seen two plows on my block. A car still got stuck after they plowed. Come salt please. Cook Ave.”

• “Yes!! Great job DPW!”
