Scotch Plains Man Charged With DWI After Overturned Car Crash
An overturned 2008 silver Honda with heavy damage was found on Raritan Road on Sunday.
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A Scotch Plains man was charged with driving under the influence following a crash with an overturned car.
On May 9, Scotch Plains police said they went to Raritan Road near Lake Avenue where they found the accident involving an overturned 2008 silver Honda with heavy damage.
William R. Swenson, 33, of Scotch Plains was identified as the driver and the only person in the car. Swenson had received minor injuries and was treated at the scene by EMS, said police.

He refused to be taken to the hospital and was taken to headquarters for processing. The vehicle was towed from the scene, said police.
