Scotch Plains Man Dies In Fall From Parkway Overpass

The 21-year-old Scotch Plains man fell off the Oak Tree Road overpass Friday and was hit and killed by a car, according to State Police.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A 21-year-old Scotch Plains man fell off an overpass in Woodbridge over the Garden State Parkway Friday, and was hit and killed by a car, according to State Police.

The man, identified as Joshua Goldberg, fell from the Oak Tree Road overpass in Woodbridge at about 5:25 p.m. this past Friday, said State Police.

This occurred at milepost 132.1 on the Parkway. He was then struck by a car on the Parkway.

The young man sustained fatal injuries and the 45-year-old driver sustained minor injuries, according to State Police Trooper Alejandro Goez.

The accident remains under investigation.
