The Scotch Plains Public Library Hosts A Home Barista Experience

Meet and learn from the professionals behind the new local business, Black Drop Coffee.

The Scotch Plains Public Library will host a virtual presentation for coffee lovers on Thursday, April 8 at 7pm. Black Drop Coffee founder Melody DeGaetano is a Registered Dietician who brings science and nutrition to the work of creating delicious drink experiences. Together with Michael Bonavita from their local roaster Good Life Coffee, she will share interesting coffee facts and present interactive brewing how-tos. They will teach about the distinct flavor profiles and tasting notes of their Sumatra and Single Origin beans, in addition to reviewing a variety of home brewing methods. If you would like to follow along and brew your own coffee during the session or the next morning, you can register to pick up two complementary samples of BDC’s signature beans. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link. For more information and to register, visit the Library's website or call 908-322-5007, x204.
