Snow Day For Kean, Remote Learning For Union County College
Snow and sleet accumulations could bring anywhere from 3 to 8 inches across the state, starting early Thursday morning.
UNION COUNTY, NJ — New Jersey is now under a winter storm warning for Thursday, and Kean University is canceling classes while Union County College announced that Thursday will be an all-virtual day for all students.
"Due to the weather forecast for snow and icy conditions, all classes and activities – both remote and in-person – will be canceled at Kean University on Thursday, Feb.18. Only personnel who are essential during weather emergencies should report to work as required. All other faculty and staff are excused," the university announced.
Unlike Kean, Union County College is having an all-remote day on Thursday.

"Due to impending inclement weather, all classes and College services will be offered remotely on Thursday, Feb. 18. All campus buildings will be closed. All classes will be conducted remotely. Remote live classes will take place as scheduled. Face-to-face classes will be held remotely," the college announced.
The National Weather Service issued winter storm alerts across New Jersey, including in Union County, saying that snow and sleet accumulations could bring anywhere from 3 to 8 inches across the state.
