Songs of the Suffragists at the Scotch Plains Public Library
On April 19 at 7 pm, join the Scotch Plains Library for a virtual presentation of "Songs of the Suffragists: Lyrics of American Feminism."
On Monday, April 19 at 7 pm, join the Scotch Plains Public Library on Zoom for a virtual presentation of “Songs of the Suffragists: Lyrics of American Feminism from 1850 to 2020,” by Susan Ferris, Past-President of the League of Women Voters of Berkeley Heights, New Providence, and Summit, and Laura Engelhardt, co-author of “Songs of the Suffragists”. This program includes a 25-minute documentary focusing on the intersection of music and politics in the Women’s Movement, which will be followed by an author-led conversation based on the book and film.
