Tasty Thai Opens In Fanwood

Adding a bit of spice to the restaurant lineup in Fanwood, Tasty Thai has opened in the borough.

FANWOOD, NJ — Adding a bit of spice to the restaurant lineup in Fanwood, Tasty Thai has opened in the borough.

The Thai restaurant had a soft opening on Friday and will officially open on Tuesday. The restaurant located at 46 S Martine Ave. has taken the place of the former Rice Inn.

Manager Oscar Chia said the restaurant has been "crazy busy" since the soft opening.

"A lot of people are excited that there is a Thai restaurant in town," Chia said.

The menu includes a variety of dishes including curry, noodle rice, duck, seafood and more. There is also a nod to the borough with the "Fan Wood Shrimp" which is a stir fry crispy jumbo shrimp with broccoli, baby carrot, string bean, bell pepper and baby potatoes with chef special Tom Yum curry sauce.

The restaurant is open for lunch Tuesday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner Tuesday to Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m., Friday 3 to 10 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday noon to 9 p.m.

Take out is only being offered at this time due to the coronavirus pandemic.
