Conditions Across New Jersey So Far Wednesday

Breaking: Photos across NJ so far today. Conditions began deteriorating rapidly across the state after 12 p.m.

SECAUCUS, NJ — Where's the snow? Most of New Jersey is experiencing a combination of freezing rain, sleet and just a light dusting of snow so far on Wednesday. But all that is beginning to rapidly change.

The storm seems to be affecting the state very differently, with South Jersey and the Shore getting rain, and Central Jersey and North Jersey getting whiteout conditions.

This was the scene in Pompton Plains, about 25 minutes west of Secaucus, as of 11 a.m. Wednesday. "Big flakes are coming down, but it's melting as soon as it hits the ground and turning to slush other places," a resident tells Patch.
